These replies often include such things as “I want to start a business, but…” or “I’ve always dreamt of doing ‘x’, but…”
Perhaps you too are reading this thinking “I have an aspiration that I’ve not acted on yet.”
This newsletter is for you.
A stark realisation that I had approximately 2 years ago before I started Wisdom Made Easy was this:
😵 Why Dreams Die
More dreams die to fear than they do to failure.
In other words, more dreams are never achieved because people are too afraid to start than more dreams not being achieved through failed attempts.
Take a moment and ask yourself:
📝Does this apply to me? Have I had a dream die because I have been too afraid to start?
🗑️ What Success Really Looks Like
Many people have a misconception about what success looks like.
We see the gold medalist standing on the podium, the pop star serenading a packed stadium and the entrepreneur posting about their $10M ARR.
But we don’t see the injury that set that athlete back, the personal hardship that pop star went through to write that song or numerous financial losses that entrepreneur has experienced before finding something profitable.
What we think success looks like is very different to the reality.
As you pursue success, you will fail.
You’ll have many ideas that don’t turn out as you had hoped.
Instead of quitting when that happens, pick up your pencil, and start working on the next idea.
Success awaits.
🚫 Failure is Not a Roadblock
I want to sign off this newsletter with a phenomenal quote by Colin Rosenblum.
He’s half of the genius behind the Colin and Samir YouTube channel, and in a video last year he defined the creator mindset as such:
Failure is the road.
You need to travel down the road of failure if you want to get to the destination of success.
So what’re you waiting for?
