You won’t be fulfilled by simply running faster.

Not every finish line is worth crossing.

Don’t just chase - reflect on what’s worth chasing.

The inspiration for this newsletter and illustration came from a quote that my father first shared with me:

You might find yourself pursuing success, trying to progress in your career, acquiring that new car, and purchasing that dream home.

But have you ever stopped to question if you’re chasing the right thing?

What if you’re stuck running the rat race? Does it even matter if you win?

Here’s a stark saying that shook me to my core:

You cannot fulfil God’s purposes for your life while focusing on your own plans.

- Pastor Rick Warren

Our plans often chase success, status, or comfort.

But purpose asks something deeper; perhaps even something truer to ourselves.

Real fulfilment comes not from building your platform, but aligning your life with a bigger story. One that isn’t about being first in the race… but being faithful to your life’s purpose.

You can be productive, efficient, and high-achieving, but still feel empty.

Sometimes that emptiness isn’t from a lack of success but from success in the wrong things.

Before you push forward, pause and ask yourself these 3 questions:

  1. What race am I running - and who set the course?

Are you chasing someone else’s version of success?

    A parent’s expectation, a company’s values, or society’s obsession with more?

It’s easy to spend your life climbing a ladder, only to realise it’s leaning against the wrong wall.

  2. Have I ever “won” something that didn’t feel worth it?

Think back to a time you got the promotion, the prize, or the praise, but still felt dissatisfied.

What did that moment teach you about what matters less than you thought?

  3. What would it look like to live slower, deeper, and with more intention?

What if you didn’t need to run harder, but in fact step off the track entirely?

Sometimes the real prize isn’t found in winning, but in walking away from a race that never felt like yours.

Today I want to encourage you to sit and unpack your answers to those questions.

I guarantee you that it’ll be worth your time.

  • What race am I running - and who set the course?

  • Have I ever “won” something that didn’t feel worth it?

  • What would it look like to live slower, deeper, and with more intention?
