Why Wait?
Here's How to Get 74 Days Ahead
Estimated reading time: 4 minutes, 8 seconds
You don’t have to wait until 2025 to start your New Year’s Resolution.
If there’s a change that you want to make, start today.
To explain why you shouldn’t wait, here’s a visual representation of how much further along you could be if you started today:
Today’s quote comes courtesy of the passionate powerhouse that is Mel Robbins.
She sums up the reason why you shouldn’t wait to get to work with this saying:
“The time is now! Stop hitting the snooze button on your life.”
She didn’t say this specifically about New Year’s Resolutions, but it applies perfectly to this window of time that we all find ourselves in between now and the start of 2025.
Many people perceive the New Year as a great opportunity to start afresh.
2025 is a blank slate, so what better time to start developing a new good habit or stop a bad one than the first day of January?
The answer is today.
If there’s a change that you are looking to implement next year, why wait?
Perhaps you’re hoping to work on your fitness.
Maybe you want to start writing that book you’ve always dreamed about.
Or you might be waiting to cut back on a habit like smoking or your alcohol consumption.
Whatever it is, why wait?
Imagine just how much you could achieve in the next 2 months.
If you’re reading this on Saturday 19th October, there are 74 days between now and 2025.
If you get 1% better every day between now and the end of this year, you will see a 108% improvement because of the power of compounding.
This is your invitation: start today.
Now it’s your time to reflect on today’s wisdom.
Consider journaling your responses to the following questions:
What will your New Year’s Resolution be for 2025?
What (if anything) is stopping you from starting that New Year’s Resolution today?
What 1 small activity can take today to make progress on your chosen goal?
Given that I’ve referenced a Mel Robbins quote today, it feels appropriate to share one of her resources.
When you consider what changes you want to implement in 2025 (or hopefully today), it’s important that you reflect on what you really want.
With much of social media and advertising trying to tell you “what you should want”, it’s vital to slow down, and truly reflect on what is important to you.
Mel’s free resource will help you to get clarity on what you really want.

This is not an ad, by the way!
It’s just a free resource that I believe will genuinely help you find clarity.
