Dreams rarely die from failure.
They die from fear: the fear of looking foolish, falling short, or wasting time.
But the only real failure is never trying at all.
Today is your opportunity to try.

Today’s visual summarises this principle perfectly:
This visual represents that 90% of dreams die because people are too scared to try.
The reality is likely somewhere closer to 99%.
What would it look like if you were one of the 1% to dare to even try?

Let’s check out a saying that builds upon today’s wisdom:
A year from now, you’ll wish you had started today.
What if you could have a 1 year head start on your goal?
1 year of wins, 1 year of lessons learned, 1 year of connections made and 1 year of impact.
Don’t let this quote will haunt you in a year’s time. Take that first step today.

Fear is sneaky. It disguises itself as preparation, planning, or waiting for the right time. Procrastination, right?
You tell yourself, “I’ll start when I’m ready.”
But readiness is a myth - action is what makes you ready.
The truth?
Most people aren’t stopped by failure - they’re halted by hesitation and finished by fear.
They never launch the idea, send the email, record the video, or write the first post.
And so their dream quietly fades, long before it ever had the chance to fail.
Or would it have flourished? We’ll never know.
But if you want to be the individual that launches past fear and starts building momentum, try these 3 tips:
Shrink the first step.
Big dreams can feel paralysing.
So instead of launching the whole vision, start small.
Patrick Regan OBE said that “Small steps are still steps.”
Figure out what your first step is.
Expect to feel fear, then act anyway.
A common misconception is that courage is the absence of fear.
It’s not. It’s the choice to move through fear.
Every creator, founder, and dreamer started scared. The difference is, they started.
So don’t ignore the fear. Acknowledge it, then say “I’m doing it anyway”.
Measure progress, not perfection.
Don’t aim to be flawless - aim to be further.
Progress compounds through consistency, not errorless execution.
Find a way to count your progress through measuring your input, not tracking the output.

Let’s dive deeper into today’s wisdom with these 3 journal prompts:
What dream have I been delaying because I’m scared to start?
What’s one small step I could take toward it today?
Could I benefit from Beehiiv’s Winter Release Event?
