3 Lessons from 2 Years of Wisdom Made Easy
Today at a glance:
Estimated reading time: 4 minutes, 51 seconds
Wisdom Made Easy turned 2 years old in May, and as I’ve been reflecting on the wild ride, I have identified a few ideas that I wanted to share with you.
If you’re trying to build online, create content, start a business or ultimately get wiser - this one’s for you.
If you would rather listen to me talk through this newsletter, you’re welcome to watch this YouTube video instead:
Here are the 3 Lessons from 2 Years of Wisdom Made Easy:
🧱 What’s Your Foundation?
Do you know why you’re doing what you’re doing?
Before starting Wisdom Made Easy in 2022, I invested a lot of time in trying to understand what I was meant to be doing with my life.
I partnered with my church and participated in something called the Calling Lab.
This was a programme that took place over a number of weeks in which we explored such things as:
Personality types
Strengths and weaknesses
Emotional responses
Scripture
Prophecy
And much, much more.
It was the Calling Lab that helped me discover that I wanted to devote much of the next season of my life to getting wiser and encouraging you to get wiser.
Because I invested in understanding who I am and what makes me come alive, I had firm foundations to start building Wisdom Made Easy on.
And here I am, 2 years later, reaching hundreds of thousands of people each month.
One of my first visuals demonstrates that your purpose/cause/calling/why is more important than the lofty goals you might have:

So, if you’re looking to build an online presence, start a business or find more fulfilment in life, consider journaling your thoughts on these questions:
📝 What makes me come alive?
📝 How can I spend more time doing what I feel called to?
🚶➡️ You Just Have To Start
Once you know what you’re meant to be doing, you just have to start.
I’ll say that again:
You just have to start.
There’s value in setting yourself up well, researching the market, practicing in private, networking with key people in your industry and so on.
But eventually, you will have to take the first step.
When I started Wisdom Made Easy, I spent a lot of time in the visual community.
I enjoyed and engaged with the content of:
And even those these relationships were and still are so valuable, it was me that had to take the first step.
If you’re currently in a season where you know that you need to just start, but you don’t know how, this visual is for you:

I initially created this visual when I collaborated with Patrick Regan OBE on his book launch for Brighter Days.
📝 What is 1 step that I can take to make progress on my chosen goal?
🤜🤛 Find Your Confidants
Once you’re up and running, it’s important that you don’t do it alone.
People often say that you should focus on the journey is more than the destination.
I’d argue it’s more important to focus on your company than both the journey and the destination combined.
A terrible journey/destination becomes bearable or even enjoyable if you’re journeying with the right people.
And a great journey/destination becomes all the more sweeter if you’re able to celebrate it with the right people.
Once you have started, it’s important that you identify your confidants; the people that you can confide in.
I dedicated a whole newsletter for identifying your confidants a few weeks ago.
You can find that newsletter here:
📝 Who are your confidants?
📝 Journal Prompts
• What makes you come alive?
• What is 1 step you can make towards your life goal today?
• Who are your confidants?
Consider journaling through the above questions yourself.
